Default Unique items

In an article of guildwiki it states "When you kill the boss, there is a certain chance that he will drop one (or more) of his unique items." Has anyone done any research into drop rates? Does every boss have the same drop rate, or does it vary by boss? Is there any differnce between the campaigns phrofecies, factions and nightfall ( is it harder in some campaigns the chance for a drop ) ?
I am trying for a long time now for a drop by Enadiz the Hardheaded in Arkjok Ward ( drop=Enadiz's Defender , a Unique Item) .Nightfall campaign. I tried at least 20 times but no drop. I used different numbers of heroes and henches.still no succes. can anyone help me please ?

Random, but it's also based on the amount of members you have in your party.

The greens won't always drop even if there was a full human party. But the less members in the party, more chance for you to get the drop, when it comes. Remember, you don't see the drops for henchmen and heroes.

Maybe you can do it with your friends, who will give the shield for you as it drops for one of them.

First of all only Bosses in Cantha and Nightfall drop unique items, not in Prophecies. Droprates for each boss can vary, I'm not sure about the exact droprate. The trick to get his green (=unique item) is to kill him without the help of heroes/henchmen because they get 7/8 drops in a party of 8 with only 1/8 human player, so basically you have to solo him. You can kill the foes around the boss with henchmen/heroes and flag them afterwards so their names become grey, the drop will than be yours.

Only bosses in Elona and Cantha drop unique items, you say? Well then, I wonder where my Monk's Kepkhet's Refuge came from...

And some of those short dudes in Sorrow's Furnace, don't they drop items of an aquamarine hue as well?

That's weird, because I still vividly remember the day Sorrow's Furnace was added and with it, the first Green "unique" boss loot for our Prophecies characters only.

I know that Chor drops his green a lot.. I farmed him 15 times and got 3 green drops.. I guess you just have to find a way to solo the bosses.. or try and bring as few others as possible.

Good greif. One guy makes a typo (he probabllly meant to point out that there are SIGNIFICANTLY more greens in Factions and NF then in Phroph) and the next 3 posts are people ridding his butt and not even addressing the OP. This is why the GW community is so bad. We are too quick to jump on and belittle our fellow players.

I'm sure what he meant was this:

As far as I know, almost all bosses in Factions and Nightfall drop at least one green. In Prophecies, only a select few bosses drop greens. Most of them do not.

different drop rates for sure.

kepkhet marrowfeast drops 4 out of 5 times, occasionally 2 drop at once.

lian, dragons petal for example can be killed 40 times and get 1 drop (which is worthless anyway!)

Each boss seem to have his own rate.

In Prophecies only some bosses and some groups drops green items. Some of them may have up to 3 green items, and even more for the last bosses in the tombs.

In Factions, every single boss, but the Afflicted ones, have green drops. And some groups too.

In Nightfall, all bosees have their own green drops. And there are some normal creatures in the angish dropping green too.
